Managing changes in the ERP database

An Enterprise Resource and Planning System (ERP) should be an image of the business of the company. Over time the company’s businesses change. Business units are added/ terminated, products are replaced, employees leave the company and new begin. These are natural changes within all companies and they need to be reflected in the ERP-system. Furthermore these changes in the ERP-system needs to be reflected into Test and Development environments. Up until now these types of changes have been manually performed directly in the M3/ Movex Database. These are risky and costly tasks.

a3.ENV is a management tool for the Movex/ M3 database. It is designed to analyze the status of the Movex/ M3 Database, perform quality assured changes in a M3/Movex environment and create quality assured designed M3/ Movex environments. The focus in a3.ENV is on selection and simulation of tasks to perform and automation and validation of the performed tasks. This to minimize risk.
